Dr. Chrisy Myers

Veterinarian

Dr. Chrisy Myers is a veterinarian at the Middletown Animal Hospital. She graduated from Middletown High in 1974, earned her Animal Science/PreVet degree from the University of Kentucky in 1978, and her DVM from The Ohio State University in 1982.

She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian and announced it when she graduated from kindergarten at Wildwood Elementary. She enjoys teaching clients and their children how to take care of their puppies and kittens and how best to meet the needs of their elderly pets, extend their quality of life, as well as addressing the needs and concerns of all ages in between. Dr. Myers is a firm believer in preventative medicine for both man and beast including home dental care and good nutrition.

Dr. Myers became the 2nd female veterinarian to practice in Middletown, preceded only by Dr. Ingrid Marien. She has worked in literally every clinic in Middletown and some in surrounding areas either full or part-time and in well over 100 practices between Cincinnati and Troy as a relief vet. She had the honor of knowing or working for some of Middletown’s earliest vets namely Dr. LC Lynch and his dad, Dr. Dan Bremer and his dad, and Dr. Peck and Dr. Oswalt. She began working part-time at the MAH again a few years after Dr. Neumann bought the practice and now has the pleasure of working for Dr. Combs.

Dr. Myers has two wonderful adult children, her daughter in Dayton and her son and his lovely wife in Virginia. She also has a beautiful miniature schnauzer, Lucy, whom she dearly loves and is spoiled probably like most of yours! If she hasn’t met you and your pet(s) yet, she looks forward to doing so. Go Middies, Cats, and Bucks!

While small animal general practice is the main focus of his energies, surgery and emergency medicine are areas to which he is drawn. He enjoys working with animals and helping them to stay healthy.

Outside of work, Dr. Nenni lives on a small farm with his wife and 5 children. He enjoys spending time with his family and working on the farm.

Pam loves animals of all kinds, well except snakes… eek! She grew up on a farm and has always been surrounded by animals. Pam knew in High School she always wanted to work with animals for a profession, but took a different route in her earlier years. She loves working with the great bunch of people working for MAH. They make her job much easier, and she’s been able to obtain her dream of working with animals.

Kelsey H.

Kelsey H. has been a clinic assistant at Middletown Animal Hospital since April 13th, 2022. This is her first job working in the veterinary industry, but she has always had a passion and love for animals since she was a little girl. She would one day love to go to school to further her career in the veterinary field. In her free time, Kelsey loves spending time with her two fur babies, a curious dog named Oreo, and a mischievous cat named Salem. She also enjoys crocheting, baking, and spending time outdoors.

April J.

Veterinary Assistant

April is just beginning what will hopefully be a long-term career here at MAH. She is a kind soul who is compassionate for the animal career. She cares equally for both pets and people. April will love and care about your pet as if they were her own. Don’t let the “new” factor fool you. She may still be learning the ways of MAH, but she does have quite the history in the veterinary field.

April is certified as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated from Animal Behavior College’s online program for Veterinary Assisting in 2017. After graduating, she proceeded to gain 6 years of experience in the veterinary field. She’s had 5 years of experience in general practice veterinary, and 1 year in emergency veterinary. In these 6 years, she has more than confirmed her belief that the veterinary field is her calling. It is her dream to stay in the veterinary field and to continue both her experience and education.

Outside of work, April likes to relax at home with her partner, Devan, and their pets. They have two cats, Lightning and Thor, and a teddy bear hamster named Ozzy. She enjoys playing video games with her partner, and also loves to play music, typically 80s rock/hair bands, and she sings and dances around the house. While she’s singing and dancing, odds are she is also doing house chores or baking up a delicious dessert. Outside of the house, April and her partner enjoy hiking. They have gone on several adventures so far, with their favorite place being Sharon woods. April feels most at peace with nature. To her, it’s the best way to relax.

Iesa B.

Clinic Assistant

Iesa B. has worked at Middletown Animal Hospital since May 2023 as a clinic assistant. She has been in the veterinary medicine field since graduating high school in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys reading, camping and spending time with her 2 dogs and 1 sassy cat.

Gertie

Clinic Cat

Gertrude came to us as an injured barn cat at the beginning of 2023. After removing her right front leg, her owner decided that going back to being a working cat wasn’t a good idea for a 15-year-old amputee. It was then that we decided Gertie would stay with us. She loves people, giving her opinion on things, scritches and bossing Blubert around.

In Memoriam

Blueburt

Clinic Cat

Often called the best but worst cat, you could usually find Blubert sleeping, begging for treats, laying in front of important equipment we needed to use, or trying to steal food from unsuspecting humans. His favorite snacks included rubber bands and house plants. He was a prolific hunter of mice, birds, and carbohydrates, and is missed terribly by his human staff here at MAH.
