Dr. Chrisy Myers
Veterinarian
Dr. Chrisy Myers graduated from Middletown High in 1974, earned her Animal Science/PreVet degree from the University of Kentucky in 1978, and her DVM from The Ohio State University in 1982. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian and announced it when she graduated from kindergarten at Wildwood Elementary. She enjoys teaching clients and their children how to take care of their puppies and kittens and how best to meet the needs of their elderly pets, extend their quality of life, as well as address the needs and concerns of all ages in between. Dr. Myers is a firm believer in preventative medicine for both man and beast including home dental care and good nutrition. Dr. Myers has two wonderful adult children, her daughter in Dayton and her son and his lovely wife in Virginia, along with a beautiful miniature schnauzer, Lucy. If she hasn’t met you and your pet(s) yet, she looks forward to doing so. Go Middies, Cats, and Bucks!

Carla – Registered Veterinary Technician
Carla is a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician with 10 years of experience in the field. Graduating from Brown-Mackie College in 2014 she got straight to work at Waynesville Veterinary Hospital for the next 7 years, only leaving to homeschool her young son during the Covid pandemic. Carla continued to support her family during that time as an independent housekeeper. Yet, she missed the pets. A chance meeting with Dr. Combs has led her to return to her true passion, supporting the much-loved pets of our hometown. In her free time, Carla enjoys gardening, hiking, and playing in multiple local bands.
Crista - Practice Manager
Crista is the Practice Manager at MAH. She focuses on all the behind-the-scenes things that help the clinic run smoothly. Crista’s animal experience began as a little girl, cleaning stalls, baling hay, milking cows and goats, and helping with whelping puppies. She started her veterinary career right out of high school by washing dogs and cleaning kennels. Since then, she’s worked in all facets of veterinary medicine. Her experience includes mobile vaccine clinics in Europe, working with the Military Working Dog Program in Germany, emergency medicine, assisting during calving and kidding season on her grandparent’s farm, and fostering for local rescues and wildlife groups. When she’s not at the clinic, Crista enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, off-roading, Michigan football, and traveling with her family, their dogs, and sharing time with friends.

Heather is a veterinary assistant and has been with MAH since 2021. Heather is originally from New Jersey and raised in California, currently settling in Ohio. In her free time, you’ll often find her enjoying trivia nights, playing board games, or belting out tunes at karaoke. Tia - Receptionist
Tia is one of our newest receptionist additions here at Middletown Animal Hospital; this is her first job working in the veterinary industry. Since childhood, she has always wanted to be surrounded by animals but wasn’t sure how to get there. In high school, she shadowed her family Veterinarian and attended Butler Tech to receive a certification in Equine Science and Horsemanship with the intent of going to college for Veterinary Medicine. Due to the cost of college, she instead decided to serve in the Marine Corps for four years, during which time she developed a strong sense of discipline, dedication, and a passion for helping others. After her military service, Tia decided to pursue a dual bachelor’s degree in pre-health (major undecided) and psychology from the University of Cincinnati. Tia’s professional interests are deeply rooted in her passion for health, both mental and physical, in both humans and animals. She is fascinated by animal and human behavior and psychology, emergency medicine, and surgery. In her free time, she dedicates herself to fostering animals in need. Outside of work and school, Tia enjoys spending her free time training and working with her two dogs, Draco, a Belgian, Malinois, and Rylo, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is very interested in all things dog training and sports. She also enjoys going to the gym, volleyball, hiking, reading, cooking/baking, video games, and more!
Pam - Receptionist
Rachael – Receptionist
Blubert (Blu) - In Memoriam
Often called the best, but worst, cat, you could often find Blubert sleeping, begging for treats, laying in front of (or on) important equipment we needed to use, or trying to steal food from unsuspecting humans. His favorite snacks included rubber bands and house plants. He was a prolific hunter of mice, birds, and carbohydrates, and is missed by all who knew him.
Gertrude (Gertie) – Clinic Cat
Gertrude came to us as an injured barn cat at the beginning of 2023. After removing her right front leg, her owner decided that going back to being a working cat wasn’t a good idea for a 15-year-old amputee. It was then that we decided Gertie would stay with us. She loves people, giving her opinion on things, scritches and bossing everyone around — especially Dr. Combs. She’s also infamous for keeping dogs in line.
